Dance pattern
I would like to write my thoughts about the collection by Greek jeweler Ilias Lalaounis with a geometric pattern in the form of a labyrinth. Its name made me wonder. It’s called Choreographism. In the ancient Greek choreo means dance, graphism – draw, paint. Literally the collection means expression of dance with material symbols.

The Ancient Greece culture is a dancing culture. The dance symbolized the idea of a path, renewal, harmony of the universe. Probably the first labyrinth images depicted movements of a ritual dance.
In the Homer’s Iliad is described a dance similar to a labyrinth. Daedalus built the dance space for Ariadne, and the Greek dance Geranos illustrated not that other as the myth of Theseus and the labyrinth.
