Camila Weirich‘s journey into jewelry design began with a lost family ring. That personal story still informs every piece she designs at SAL Jewelry today. Born in Brazil and now based in Berlin, she bridges the vibrant organic shapes of her homeland and the precise modernism of her adopted city.

After studying at both the Gemological Institute of America and London’s University of the Arts, Camila developed a signature style that plays with contrasts. Her designs marry the strong lines of Brazilian modernist architecture with the flowing curves of tropical landscapes. You can see Lina Bo Bardi’s influence in her structural pieces, while Roberto Burle Marx’s gardens inspire her more fluid creations.

The Harper’s Bazaar Trend Award at Milan Jewelry Week 2024 recognized this distinctive vision. Each SAL jewelry piece is crafted by hand in Brazil using 18k gold from ethical sources and gemstones with fully traceable origins. For Camila beautiful design must be responsible too.

My goal is to create jewellery with organic shapes

that reflect an abstract and open vision of life

yet have a solid and structured foundation. — Camila Weirich.
